Notes about selling biscuits

Please make sure you know when you are supposed to be at a stall. There is nothing more frustrating for the person who is already there to be waiting to be relieved and have the next person not turn up.

If you think there are any errors in the roster, please let me know ASAP.

For the stalls this week at Devonport New World, could the first person on each day (4-5 pm) please pick up the table, float, and signs for the stall from our District Co-ordinator, Margaret Lenehan, at 12 Ewen Alison Ave. Likewise, could each person who has the final time slot (6-7pm), please return these items to Margaret when they have finished. If for any reason Margaret is not home (unlikely) everything can be picked up or dropped off from her garage, just inside the side door.

A sheet of instructions, plus the roster will be provided with the stall items. This will include mine and Margaret's phone numbers in case you run out of biscuits during your time slot. We don't want to miss out on potential sales. However, we are suggesting that you take an extra one box of each type of biscuit (these will also be with Margaret) as "spares". The last person on can return any that are left. There will be a tally sheet for you to record sales of these spare biscuits if necessary.

In addition, there will be a collection bucket for Canterbury biscuits. The Christchurch Guides can't sell their biscuits because of the Thinking day Earthquake (22nd of February). GirlGuiding NZ still have to pay Griffins for these biscuits and the proceeds from the sales are very important for running the organisation nationally. We have been asked to collect donations for Christchurch packets of biscuits. The money we collect will pay for packets that will then be distributed to families in need in Christchurch. The biscuits will be paid for from the generosity of other New Zealanders, and Christchurch families in need (Guiding and non-Guiding families) will receive the biscuits free.

We don't expect you to take donations at the expense of selling your own allocated biscuits, but if your customers feel inclined to help out all donations will be gratefully received.

Good luck with the selling

Regards

Sue

Biscuit Roster update - 6th March

Takapuna – Devonport Biscuit Roster

We have organised the following stalls for Biscuit sales in Devonport. A table, signs and float will be arranged. Families then turn up to their time slot with their biscuits and sell their biscuits. When their time is up they will take their remaining biscuits and money from biscuits sold, leaving the float with the original amount, and another family will arrive to sell their biscuits. Two families may wish to join forces for a single time slot and will need to sort out the biscuits sold and money taken between themselves.

Devonport New World Monday 7th – Friday 11th March, 4-7 pm
Brownies will need to fill the Tuesday slots and Pippins and Guides the Wednesday slots as there is Pippins and Guides on Tuesdays and Brownies on Wednesdays.
